30″ x 40″ Oil on Canvas. Hmmm. Joey’s Giraffe. This was my answer to my love for all things African & the fact that previous Giraffe paintings were always commissioned for someone else. The Acacia leaves(& spines!) in this painting came from a very kind nursery employee in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I shared my need for authentic reference material, she clipped a branch & told me to hide it under my shirt. -Talk about suffering for your Art!
